Bus and Coach Hire in Germany
Germany has been part of our work since Bus Service started in 2014, and it remains one of the busiest countries on our books. We run coaches and minibuses into Frankfurt, Munich and Berlin all year, with regular pickups at FRA, MUC and BER airports. The Autobahn network ties the whole country together, which means a group landing in Frankfurt in the morning can be at a Munich hotel the same afternoon without anyone touching a timetable.
Most of our German hires fall into a few clear categories: trade-fair groups, corporate roadshows, conference shuttles and longer cultural tours. The country runs one of the densest exhibition calendars in Europe, so a lot of what we do is moving delegates cleanly between venues, hotels and airports. Every quote we send covers the driver, fuel, tolls, parking and the usual permits, so the figure you approve is the figure you pay.
Beyond the trade-fair and corporate work, we look after a wide mix of German groups: school and university trips, sports teams travelling to fixtures, wedding parties moving guests between ceremony and reception, and multi-day cultural tours along the Rhine or down to Bavaria. Each booking runs through one dedicated coordinator who learns your schedule and stays your point of contact from the first email to the final drop-off. The written quote you receive is all-in, covering the driver, fuel, tolls, parking and the legal driver hours, with nothing held back to surprise you later. We match the vehicle to the headcount as well, from a 7-seat V-Class van for a small delegation up to a near 75-seat coach for a full conference group, so you are never paying for empty seats or squeezing into something too small.
Driving in Germany: tolls, green zones and the Autobahn
Germany does not charge cars a motorway toll, but coaches and buses fall under separate rules and the truck toll system, so road charges do apply to our vehicles on certain routes. We build all of that into the price before you book. The Autobahn itself is well maintained and fast, though sections around Frankfurt, Munich, Cologne and the Ruhr can crawl at peak times, which we plan around.
City access matters too. Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Cologne and several others enforce Umweltzone low-emission zones, and only vehicles meeting the right emission standard may enter. Our Mercedes Tourismo coaches, Sprinter minibuses and V-Class vans are Euro VI and carry the green sticker, so historic centres and event venues are not a problem. Cross-border runs into Austria, Switzerland, France and the Netherlands are routine for our drivers.
Group destinations and seasons across Germany
Demand in Germany is shaped as much by the calendar as by the map. The exhibition weeks in Frankfurt, Munich, Cologne, Hannover and Berlin pull coaches and drivers into the cities in tight bursts, and the Munich autumn festival season fills hotels and roads across Bavaria, so early booking genuinely matters in those windows. Summer brings the leisure and tour traffic: school groups, family parties and cultural tours spread out across the country once the academic term ends. We plan around all of it, holding vehicles ahead of the busiest dates rather than scrambling for them late.
The classic group routes are well within reach of a modern coach. The Romantic Road through Bavaria, the castles and vineyards along the Rhine and Moselle, the Black Forest in the southwest and the Baltic coast in the north are all popular multi-day itineraries, and the Autobahn links them without the need for any rail timetable. City centres such as Heidelberg, Rothenburg and the old quarters of Cologne or Dresden often restrict large vehicles, so we work out practical drop-off and pickup points near the sights and confirm them with you before the trip. Our Euro VI fleet and green stickers keep the protected zones open, which is what makes these tours run smoothly.

Yes, and it is a large part of what we do. We move groups for Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Cologne, Hannover and Düsseldorf shows, handling hotel transfers, venue drop-offs and airport runs. Booking early for major fairs is sensible, because coaches and drivers get scarce in those weeks.
Yes. Coaches in Germany are subject to road charges that cars avoid, and we include those, along with fuel, the driver and parking, in the quote. You will not be asked for extra toll money during or after the trip.
They can. Every vehicle we send is Euro VI and carries the Umweltzone green sticker required for Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin and other cities. That means we can reach central hotels, conference halls and old-town pickups without restriction.
